At Circus Kaput, we bring the circus to your school! We value education as one of the most magical times in a child’s life. Experiences at our circus events are not only fun and engaging, but critical in kids’ development.
We offer a variety of entertainers who will bring a show and workshop to your school to make the day super special!
Your students will also love to get a treat like caricatures, balloon twisting, face painting or air brush tattoos. Circus Kaput makes it fun and easy to enhance your school's curriculum with engaging variety arts.
Our founder, Joshua Routh, has spent over 25 years teaching camps and workshops for kids and adults of all ages. He started out teaching at Camp Don Bosco and then programs for the American Youth Foundation/Americorps in the 1990s. Soon after he taught workshops for huge corporations like Google, and at the Circus Center in San Francisco. He moved back to St. Louis in 2004 and taught programs for COCA, Innsbrook, and numerous city municipality’s Parks & Rec and many educational conferences.
Josh has spoken about team leadership at many conferences including: the annual Missouri Parks and Recreation Conference, The Kirkwood School District's 'Why Play?' Event, The Well Educator Conference, The Missouri Association of School Librarians Conference, The Speech and Theater Association of Missouri and many others.
He has contracted with multiple organizations to lead internal workshops for educators and staff.
Josh has the magic touch when it comes to making school a wonderful experience, and he loves to share what he has learned.
